The entire system, Zones A, B and C remain closed per the IDNR Office of Law Enforcement and will remain that way throughout this weekend (September 20-22) At your own risk, per the IDNR, you may pull your boat out at the nearest available and accessible ramp at NO WAKE speeds. Please call ahead to make sure it is open.
Forecast: The National Weather Service (NWS) is predicting 1 1/4 to 2 1/2 inches of precipitation for the next 3 days in the Fox River watershed with the most severe anticipated on Saturday night.
The IDNR reports: Due to the fact that ground is very saturated from heavy precipitation last week and based on the NWS precipitation forecast, it appears that the inflows will increase in the early part of next week. All gates at Stratton Dam and Algonquin Dam are completely opened to move as much flow as possible.
