JOB DESCRIPTION
Full-time Fleet Maintenance Mechanic to complete assigned tasks including, but not limited to, diagnostics and repair of the following types of equipment: various types of heavy off-road equipment, heavy and light duty trucks, boats, outboard boat motors, hydraulics, D.C. electrical systems, and various types of trailers. Must have a current Class A CDL. Welding and Fabrication skills are a plus. This position requires good record keeping ability and tracking repairs that have been completed as well as regular maintenance intervals of the fleet and safety inspections for trucks and trailers on a semi-annual basis. This position will require good communication with staff and management in regards to current status of equipment and future equipment repairs and forecasting expenses for budgetary purposes. The right candidate will have a can-do attitude and be willing to take on projects head on with minimal supervision. The primary role of this position is to be a mechanic however, there may be times when other tasks will be assigned outside of this role. Candidate should possess a willingness to jump in and learn from others and take direction and above all be a team player.
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years Maintenance mechanic experience required as described in the Job Description above
Ability to use a computer for record keeping, emails, ordering parts etc.
Class A CDL with a clean driving record
Boating experience on the Chain O Lakes/ Fox River preferred but not required
Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
Drug free (subject to random testing program for Department of Transportation)
Must be able to swim and not be afraid of water
Self-starter, responsible, team player, punctual, positive attitude
Needs to be able to follow instructions with a can-do attitude
Work under minimal supervision
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Compensation based on experience and qualifications, 40 hours per week, OT when needed.

Full-time Waterway Maintainer position to complete various assigned tasks including, but not limited to, driving a boat, picking up debris, installing and removing buoys, light-duty boat maintenance, driving-light duty work trucks, operating skid steer etc. A willingness to jump in and learn from others and take direction. Other miscellaneous duties may be assigned. This position will be required to obtain a CDL.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School or GED equivalent
Minimum 18 years old
Valid Driver’s license with a clean driving record
Class B CDL a plus or must be willing to test
Excavation experience a plus
Boating experience required with USCG safety certification
Knowledge of the Chain O’ Lakes/ Fox River
Must be able to lift 75 lbs.

SEASONAL POSITIONS

General labor position to complete various assigned tasks including, but not limited to, cutting grass, sweeping, shoveling, cleaning, driving a boat, picking up debris, installing and removing buoys, light-duty boat maintenance, driving-light duty work trucks, operating skid steer etc. A willingness to jump in and learn from others and take direction. Other miscellaneous duties may be assigned. This position will start early May. (Some days may require long hours)
Rain days or in between dredging jobs you may not be working and get less than 40 hours per week.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School or GED equivalent
Valid Driver’s license with clean driving record
Excavation experience, operating equipment a plus but not required
Minimum 18 years old

JOB DESCRIPTION
Drive a 10-yard dump to and from jobsites and dump sites in a safe manner. The ability to do light maintenance on the truck assigned to you such as checking oil, grease, lights, pre-trip inspections, washing the truck, have the physical ability to climb in the bed of the truck and shovel if necessary. Other miscellaneous duties may be assigned. This will entail 40-50 hours per week for a maximum of 1000 hours. This position will start in early May. (Some days may require long
hours.)Â Rain days or in between dredging jobs you may not be working and get less than 40 hours per week.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Class B CDL with air brakes. Class A will work but not necessary.
Current IDOT medical card
Clean driving record

Commercial driving experience preferred
