NEW! Visioning survey and upcoming public workshops for the Fox River Corridor Plan

As we kick off the New Year, there are two new opportunities—public visioning workshops and a second online survey—to participate in the development of the Fox River Corridor Plan!

Visioning Public Workshops –

McHenry County and the City of McHenry, in partnership with Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, will host two virtual visioning workshops via Zoom for the Fox River Corridor Plan on January 19 and 21, 2021.

Attend a workshop to share your vision and goals for the future of the Fox River and its communities, from Burtons Bridge to Johnsburg. This is a great opportunity to share your ideas with your family, friends, and neighbors. Everyone is welcome!

During each workshop, participants will be placed into small groups to discuss their ideas and craft common goals for the Corridor. We will then regroup to examine the goals identified and work toward a shared vision. The content of both workshops will be the same, so you only need to attend one.

Online Visioning Survey –

Take the visioning survey to share your ideas about potential strategies and actions that the plan should consider as well as help us understand your vision for the Corridor. It should take approximately 8-10 minutes to complete the entire survey. You can access the survey here: https://engage.cmap.illinois.gov/fox-river-mchenry/survey_tools/visioning-survey. We look forward to your responses!
