Fox Waterway Agency Notice to Bidders
Sealed Bids will be received by Kristine Pearson of the Fox Waterway Agency (“OWNER”), at 45 S. Pistakee Lake Road, Fox Lake, Illinois 60020 until 10:00 a.m., on September 22, 2021, for the following improvements:
Grass Island Restoration
The Fox Waterway is soliciting bids for the construction of the Grass Island project. The project includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the restoration of rip rap bordering several sections of Grass Island. General construction includes but is not limited to: approximately 1,620 lineal feet/2,508 tons of Class A4 rip rap in Area 1, approximately 300 lineal feet/408 tons of Class A4 rip rap in Area 2, and approximately 550 lineal feet/778 tons of Class A4 rip rap in Area 3. Contractor will be required to transport materials from launch site to Grass Island for installation., and appurtenant work and materials necessary to complete the project in accordance with the Contract Documents.

The Fox Waterway Agency reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities.
The bidder shall at all times observe and comply with all laws, ordinances, regulations and codes of federal, state, county and City governments and/or any other local governing agencies which may in any manner affect the preparation of proposals or the performance of a contract.
All proposals shall include a proposal guarantee in the amount of not less than 5 percent of the bid.
