John Palmieri, Lockmaster at the Stratton Lock and Dam in McHenry has indicated the doors on the lock are currently not functioning due to a mechanical failure. The IDNR is currently addressing the issue and is hoping to be back online ASAP. Due to the failure the lock is not passable by boat at this time until further notice.
