Precipitation & Stratton Operations

Last night the Fox River system received 1” of rainfall in Illinois and up to 4” in Wisconsin.  This rainfall far exceeds the amount of rain that was in the forecast.  Therefore, the gates have been furthered open this morning to keep the system from going into no wake.  As a result, the McHenry pool will see a temporary drop in water levels as the gates are opened.  We anticipate these levels with rebound as the water stabilizes after the gate changes.  It is our intent to move as much water as we can while keeping all zones fully open.  There is more rain in the forecast Saturday which we have accounted for.  If we experience significant higher rainfall than what is forecasted, further adjustments may be necessary.
