The following is the Fox River Status update for May 19, 2020:

  • The Fox River near New Munster has crested and is currently at a stage of 12.91 ft.
  • The National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting that the Fox River at Algonquin Tailwater would crest at a stage of 11.30 ft on May 21 with a flow of 5590 cfs.
  • Based on today’s river forecast from the NWS, our estimates still indicate that the Fox Lake would crest near 6 ft and the Stratton Dam Tailwater would crest near 6.2 ft on Thursday.
  • All gates are completely opened at the Stratton and Algonquin dams.
